" La Maison du Folklore " is a reception centre open all year round. Located on the edge of Gannat, it has 2 open spaces where children can play safely. The house has all safety standards.

• The approach roads : N9 at 5 minutes from the exit 12 of the motorway A71 to Ebreuil just after the toll.
• 30 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand, from the Auvergne volcanos and Vulcania park
• Young reception centre of 50 tent sites
• The Volcanos room is planned for leisure and meetings.
• A screening room

• Gaston Rivière room is planned for concerts, receptions and dance.

The House of Folklore is affiliated member of the United Federation of Youth Hostels (Fédération Unie des Auberges de Jeunesse) (website : www.fuaj.org).

In order to make children aware of this heritage and to make easier the transmission of traditional knowledge, our team in charge of these activities, together with teachers, elaborate a complete and well-balanced programme in harmony with the rythm of life of the child.

Discovering the wide diversity of music instruments from the whole world, playing in a percussion ensemble, striking, scratching, scraping, shaking, ... singing in different languages, discovering new tunes, unusual harmonies ... making some instruments... meeting artists from the whole world...
